Fundraising

Fundraising

This season the club has grown from three teams to five. At present the club is run by a Committee made up of the Managers, Secretary/Treasurer and the Chairman. These guys do everything from marking the pitch on a Sunday, attending League meetings and cleaning the changing rooms etc .

The area that we don’t have any representation in is fundraising, and at present the only income the club generates is from any sponsorship, training and match fees. This income only just manages to keep our heads above water, so what we as a Committee are looking for are some parent representatives to form a Fundraising Committee. Ideally two parents per age group are needed to organize some fundraising activities within the club. A representative from the Fundraising Committee would be expected to attend the club meetings, which at the moment are held every six weeks.

If you feel that you would like to support the club by coming on to the Committee as a parent representative, please speak to your respective manager, who will then forward your name to me or feel free to email me on:- terrykill76@yahoo.com

Under 11’s Players v Parents Match

Players v Parents

As a welcome back to everyone for the new season Avisford Youth under 11’s held their first ever players v parents match. It is hoped this will become an annual event.

The parents eventually ran out winners in a closely fought match, even though the players eventually had 18 players on at the end of the game. A hugely entertaining evening that everyone enjoyed and was played in a great spirit.

Many thanks to all the parents who joined in and played, and made the evening possible.
